Cloves belong to the syringa generaoleaceae family. There are about 27 living species all around the world, mainly distributed in East Asia, Central AsiaEurope,China is a natural distribution center. There are 22 wild species in China, among which 18 species are endemic species, mainly distributed in the southwest, northwest, northnortheast regions of China. There are also 6 wild species in Japan, North Korea, Afghanistanother countries,2 wild species in Europe.

In the early 1960s, our country began to introduce special species of Syringa plants. Up to now, 80% of the wild species, nearly 100 cultivated varietiesmany other varieties have been cultivated. The Garden, established in 1979, completed in 1985, expanded in 2005, covers an area of 0.7 ha. There are nearly 1000 treesshrubs are planted,more than 50 species of cloves are included, totaling more than 500. The plants are planting to field complied to its growing rulesecological habits.
