The Autumn Garden is a special garden, mainly for enjoying the autumn scenery. There are more than 2,000 typical autumn ornamental plants in Beijing displayed with abundant of plant materials and various planting styles, such as foliage-viewing, fruit-viewing and others shrubs. It has created numerous splendid autumn pictures: gorgeous trees in autumn haze, mist-shrouded groves, paths with cool fragrance,frosted petals.

In north of the garden is an artificial lake—Limpid Lake, which occupies 2.1 ha. The lake shore twiststurns naturally. In the north, an exquisite white marble arch bridge spans between the two lakes. In the south, a simple wooden bridge is set up leading to the Cao Xueqin Memorial in Yellow-leaves Village. Every autumn, the beautiful scenery is reflected on the lake. The water moves with the wind,the trees shake. The lake is dyed with different colors. In the center, the Autumn-painting Lawn is surrounded by treesshrubs such as Acer truncatum, Koelreuteria paniculata, Tilia mongolica, Tilia amurensis,Lonicera maackii, which present colorful scenery in autumn. The Autumn garden and the Cotinus coggygria of the full Fragrant Hill reflect each other as a pair of scenery, deliberately rendering the splendid autumn colors of the western hillsin deep autumn.
