Covering an area of 1 ha, the Fagaceae Plant Area mainly collects plants of fagaceaequercus genera. Plants such as quercus aliena, quercus aliena var. acutiserrata, quercus acutissima,  quercus mongolicaquercus variabilis have been introduced from regions of northeast China, north area of north Chinanorthwest China in 1950s. In recent years, more than 40 quercus plants have been introduced from all around the world such as quercus dentata, quercus baronii, quercus rubra, America quercus fabri, quercus macrocarpa, etc. The landscape design of this area is based on the mingled forest of pinesoaks,accompanied by carpinus turczaninowii, celtis bungeana, pteroceltis tatarinowiiother common species in North China. Dozens of flowering shrubs (such as prinsepia sinensis, spiraea prunifoliaso on)evergreen ground cover plants (such as ophiopogon japonicus, hedera nepalensis var. sinensi, euonymus fortuneiso on) are planted under the trees. This area is featured with its distinctive seasonality---the flowering Spring, the shady Summer, the colorful Autumnthe silent Winter, which gives a vivid description of the typical ecological landscape of deciduous broad-leaved forest in the north of China.
