The bamboo Garden is located on the west of Wofo Temple, specially built for cultivatingdisplaying bamboos, so it is also called Bamboo Garden. Completed in 1986, it covers an area of 0.83ha. It has a collection of over 60 species (including cultivars) more than 10 genera of bamboos. Different sections in the garden are categorized in terms of the bamboo genuseach are shown separately. It includes Phyllostachys, Pleioblastus, IndocalamusShibataea, etc.

The southern wall of the garden was built like the wave-topped wall; in the north there is a high platform, while in the middle of the garden lies a small lake, a delicate pavilion sits above it. Small paths wind in the garden through bamboo forest. The garden not only shows integrity, but also echos with the Longjiao Templesurrounding environments. The pavilion is called "Zhi Yin". The 3 characters "JiXiu Yuan" on the east wall of Ruyi Gate was a gift from Mr. Zhao Puchu (1907-2000). In 1988, the Bamboo Garden was nominated as "New Beijing-Style Landscape Architecture Award". Its extension was in 1990 by building new wallspathsseparated from Wofo Temple as an individual site. The wall which was lately built with naturally curves along the landscape. An oval gate opens in the middle section of the wall, on the top of the gate embedded a piece of cyan stone. On the stone carved the characters "Lang Xuan Shi Jie""Xu HuaiJinJie" from famous Chinese calligrapher Mr. Huang Zhou (1925-1997).

Bamboo is always verdant, pine trees do not wither in winter, the flowers of Meibloom with snow,the three with the same durable character are known as "three friends in winter". Walking in this garden, you can feel nothing but freshness, gracefulness,light-heartedness.
