Beijing Botanical Garden was authorized as the International Cultivar Registration Authority for Malus(ICRAM) ,excluding cultivated apple, in February 2014,Professor Ling Guo was conferred to International Registrar for Malus. ICRAM is responsible for registration name application of cultivars about ornamental crabapplerootstock from all over the worldregister it according to International Code of Nomenclature for Cultivated Plants (ICNCP). More than 800 species of Malus were preserved here in the Malus Herbarium. The national malus Germplasm Resource Bank here is the gene bank with the largest number of preserved living collection of Malushave the most of the existing Malus varieties resources in the world.
